Dynamically similar models show directly the flight behaviour in takeoff and landing, on land or water, in stall and spin.airspeeds, and turnrates as well as reactons to control deflections can directly be scaled to the original.
We measure flight quality and acquire derivatives of new constructions at a flying model. Thereby everything is from the same source. - construction of the model - flight tests - measuring - analysis
With our Test equipment we measure 100 times per sec: commands from RC-Transmitter- PWM-signals to the servos
- deflections of control surfaces
- static and dynamic pressure
- air temperature
- angles of attack and sideslip angle
- position,altitude, flightpath speed and direction from GPS
- pitch and roll angle from IMU
- accelerations and turnrates about all three axes
- engine speed, voltage and current
- optional video camera
These data are written on SD-memory card. In following flight path reconstruction , derivatives can be calculated
